eume, short for eumelanin was the third installment of an interactive exhibition trilogy forthe Overtown Music and Arts Festival.
eume celebrated brown and black skin tones, allowing festival-goers to draw themselves into their city's fabric.
The piece was constructed from two 6x6' hexagons and three 5' pentagons. An aerial view of the exhibition mimicked the composition of eumelanin, the specific melanin that creates brown and black skin tones.

BEING, constructed from three 6x6x2' shadow boxes was an interactive exhibition featured at the 2016 Overtown Music and Arts Festival. The exhibition was a direct response to the back to back murders of unarmed Black civilians from the hands of police. BEING provided festival goers a place for reflection and an outlet to describe what it was like being them in America.
